About Digital Marmalade

Digital Marmalade is a full-service digital agency that has been designing and developing award-winning web sites and applications since 1997.

With offices in London and Cyprus, we specialise in developing complex digital solutions, particularly in the areas of web and mobile app development, UX/UI design, and software engineering. We have a strong track record of delivering projects for high-profile clients, including companies like NTT, the NHS, and The Telegraph.

With work spanning industries such as media, travel, leisure and education, including business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) our client-centred approach delivers powerful applications.

You're called what!? But...why!?

People ask where the name Digital Marmalade came from. Let me explain:

It was at a science conference in the 1940's, attended by the world's finest minds, where Albert Einstein alluded to the great progress the scientific world was making. Here, Einstein praised their respective technological advances in the fields of Mathematics and Physics, as the great mixture of science and technology by which the world, as they knew it, was being nurtured. He referred to this mixture as “the digital marmalade we make to keep the world turning”.

Well, actually that's not true! There's no fancy story or clever spin on the name, it just popped up one day and we loved it.

Digital Marmalade Timeline

1997

Digital Marmalade begins in Beckenham, South London as a joint venture between Marcus Brennand and New Solutions, a marketing consultancy

1999

The team grows from 3 to 10 people

2000

Digital Marmalade and New Solutions joined the Omnicom Group, one of the world's largest marketing and communications companies

2001

Tony Brennand joins the company as a Director

2006

Matthew Sheppard joins the team as a Project Manager

2007

Jeremy Jones joins Digital Marmalade as Creative Director

2009

Andy McEniry arrives at Marmalade Studios as a Web Developer

2012

Digital Marmalade relocates to a lovely new London Bridge studio

2013

Sandy Kydd joins Digital Marmalade as Technical Director

2015
